January schedule

Bad news. Very bad news. The Old School block will be sacrificed after a single year on air. That was the year we've lost on completely because of the switch, but only now we started making #SaveCNHQ. Despite of this new schedule, we will most likely see some CN shows move to the rebranded BM HQ, which will most likely happen on January 14th, when the new Inspector Gadget show premieres and also bring the channels back to Portugal after this lenghty hiatus.

2014 came and went quickly. A single year, impatiently waiting for the triumphant and miraculous return of CN HQ eventually ends with the channel itself wasting an opportunity for Portuguese people to rediscover shows like Cow and Chicken or The Powerpuff Girls to their viewers. On the weekday schedule, there's not a single Cartoon Cartoon in sight.

The weekend schedule also shows some signs of "let's drop a lot of those classic shows from the last generation because our generation's shows are better than yours" but Ed, Edd n Eddy, at 04:00 in the bloody morning, is the only Cartoon Cartoon on the schedule.
Still, if you want to watch my favorite CC, don't wake up early and just record it.

Ah, the dreaded, never-before seen overnight schedule. If Portugal had CN HQ 24/7 a dozen of years ago then I could watch some classic shows that I could only watch a few years later. It's basically a repetitive salad of third-party shows with some originals mixed in for good measure.
Plus, for the first time in 15 years, the overnight schedule no longer starts on the hour. It now runs for 8 1/4 hours, probably an influence from other kids channels.
So in conclusion: 2015 begins with a huge splash of cold water on our faces. It seems that it repeats a pattern innaugurated in 2012: good schedule in 2012, bad schedule in 2013, good schedule in 2014, bad schedule in 2015. Let's hope that Turner will avert this situation and will improve the schedule in February.
