The CN India Hall of Shame

For quite some time now, one question has been on my head and face and mind: which one is the worst CN of ALL-TIME?
I thought that it was the Philippine version because it had an Oggy overload, but then again, I changed my mind and refocused it into what is, in my opinion, the worst CN of all-time. And that CN is...
...Cartoon Network India.
Why? We'll see.

India. A country populated by millions. A country with tons of languages. A country that crosses different cultures within the same neighborhood. A country that, owing to the high amount of languages, makes more movies than Hollywood every year (the Bollywood industry).
A country whose cable TV industry is a bit disastrous.
Why is it "a bit" disastrous and not just disastrous? This happens to relate to the high amount of infomercials that air overnight on certain cable channels, kids channels inclusive.
And Cartoon Network is no exception. And now you ask why: why is CN India so disastrous?
The Indian version airs in four languages: English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. These account for being the most-spoken languages in the country.
But there is another problem with the channel: religion. Because of this:

According to Hinduism, "the cow is a symbol of wealth, strength, abundance, selfless giving and a full Earthly life". That is the real origin of the phrase "holy cow".
But why are cows problematic on the channel? Well...

I learned about that on TV Tropes: Cow and Chicken never aired in India. They say that it is due to unknown reasons, but for me it's because of the fact that (and I'm going to repeat what I just said) "the cow is a symbol of wealth, strength, abundance, selfless giving and a full Earthly life".
I think that you already know about Cow's behavior on the show, but I think that I need to proceed with the Hinduist part.
One of the most popular shows on the channel is Roll no. 21, about an incarnation of Krishna that is disguised as a school student.

This show is popular with Sri Lankans. Oddly enough, the religion they profess is Buddhism, they get some Indian cartoons dubbed into Sinhala on local channels but get their Cartoon Network and Toonami from Hong Kong and still get their Pogo from Mumbai.
CN IN also airs several animated, feature-length movies about Hinduist deities playing pranks.
But we haven't reached the most shameful part of all. Which we are about to reach right now.

The Indians don't really care on the new shows from Cartoon Network Studios. India only got Regular Show in October last year and has become twice as unpopular as Ben 10 is in the country. By the way, didn't we get a four-month RS purge?
What are the two worst things of the Indian CN? Oggy and the Infomercials. That's not a pun, they are specialists in those kinds of shows.
In recent months, they have been airing OatC for the whole afternoon. THE WHOLE AFTERNOON.
Another problem they have is the infomercial problem. They air two blocks: between 23:00 and 00:30 and between 05:30 and 07:00, with old shows, barely seen during the daytime hours, eating up those five hours between the infomercials they air.
And that, my friends, is what I like to call "a hall of shame".Congratulations, you have finally understood about how awful the Indian version of CN is.

  2. The audio file was removed some time ago, in October 2014, not too long after this was released.
At least it was just me reading the text of this page.
